I'm not sure how long it will be until I post again. Still, I wanted to make some observations since I finished the AM sermon a little early and need a break.

- I've been reading poetry this year and have really enjoyed it. Anne Bradstreet, Edward Taylor and George Herbert have been my favorites. Walt Whitman is enjoyable, too.

- The Pirates are bad. Maybe these young players will turn out to be excellent. Maybe not. There are no guarantees in regards to prospects. But right now, they stink. They are on a pace to have a 58-104 season. Yippee.

- President Obama is horrible, as is the Democratically controlled Congress. I just pray that changes will be made in November and some of the damage can be undone. I wonder how much debt and Socialism we can take.
I'm hoping that a sound, articulate, godly Republican candidate will emerge to run against Obama in 2012, and win.
Yet Christ is securely on the Throne. No doubt about it.

- That's all for today.

Books

Books
Other than Scripture, what are my favourite books?

I can't put them in order of preference, but the list would have to include:

1.
